Guys! Hi! Hello! How are you?
Remember me? You may not. It has been ages since I have blogged and I am SO SORRY. The creative juices have not been flowing well lately.
One of the biggest questions we get at Dordt is "WHAT IN THE WORLD DO STUDENTS DO THERE?" (Capitalization is used here solely for effect, generally people don't yell it at us.)
Just like my last post, I think it would be easiest to show you through pictures. So here has been the last month or so of my life condensed into 9 pictures! Enjoy!
Sometimes we drive to Sioux City, just a short 45 minutes, for some Starbucks coffee after church on Sunday, with two of my roommates, Kelsey and Haley, and one of my good friends, Kaycie!
IT'S AIRBAND NIGHT! Air band is a super cool competition where the contestants must reenact a song by lip-syncing to the music and dancing! Plenty of laughs, and always guarantees to be a good time. I was able to go with one of my best friends, neighbors, and CDA, Selena! Not pictured here are the hours of cards we had just got done playing at the Fruited Plain before this!
Whoops, more Starbucks with Haley and Haley, both my roommates, both my best friends, and both nursing majors!
Guys, it's my little brother! He's a freshman at Dordt this year, and I love having him on campus! We also share a ginormous love of Mexican food, so we are Los Tulipanes regulars.
Wow, don't we look fantastic.? This only show a tiny piece of how much fun Megan, Kayla, and myself had over Tri-State break, while we stayed at Megan's house near Chicago!
Hanging out in Chicago with these cool cats was a blast!
Intramurals are the best! Here's one of the 3 teams I was on the first half of the semester, came pretty close to the t-shirt (the championship prize) in soccer and sand volleyball but didn't quite pull it off. Maybe indoor volleyball is our calling. I guess we'll find out tonight!
This picture is awkward but I love it. 4 years into college and I finally got a picture at Blue Bunny!
And finally, from just this past weekend, Ice Skating! Just across the street from Dordt, how convenient!
There is no way I can fully express to you through words how much this campus and the beautiful people you've seen through these pictures mean to me. There are so many more faces that I would love to share with you, but I don't have pictures of them all, and let's be honest, it's not going to be like meeting them in person anyways.
If you're a high school senior reading this, I challenge you to get on campus, come experience what Dordt has to offer both educationally and in community. If you're a college student at some other school, who's not happy with where they're at and you think Dordt is the right fit for you, make the change! I did and it has made all the difference. If you're a Dordt student or anyone else in the area reading this, come support all the Dordt activities happening for Defender Days this weekend!
