Give Thanks On Thanksgiving

It's only a couple days until break, and it is only a few more days until Thanksgiving! Even though there are a few inches of snow on the ground it doesn't mean we have skipped Thanksgiving and gone straight to Christmas. So, let's turn down the Christmas songs for a bit, and pick up our forks for a thankful Thanksgiving!

Be thankful that we can have a Thanksgiving meal, be thankful for your friends and family, be thankful for whatever God has provided you this year.

I walked through campus, and stopped by The Fruited Plain a week or so ago, and asked random students what they were thankful for. I only gave them a few seconds to think about their answer and prepare what they were going to say. Here are the results:

So what are you thankful for? Students, is there something else that you would add to the list? Professors, Alumni, and anyone else reading this can you relate? As we go into break let us remember that even though going into a food coma after eating your weight in turkey and stuffing is a beautiful tradition--this is a time to give thanks. So, tell the people you love that you are thankful for them. Tell your friends, family, and the random person you walk past everyday how thankful you are for them; go ahead, make their day.

I leave you with Psalm 107:1 as a reminder to "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever."

- Luke
